Food Edition; Double Paged Spread - Planning, Construction & Final Product

As mentioned previously, we wanted to ensure that our magazine editions could be differentiated between one another therefore we experimented with templates to help us achieve a new style for our double paged-spread. However we were careful to make sure that the double pages still had a few similarities so you could  instantly realise the two editions are by the same magazine company.
A template was chosen and the pictures and text had to be decided. We wrote the text in a separate Word document first to ensure that it made sense and there were no mistakes.
Finally the planning had been done on Microsoft Word, the pictures had been decided and so had the text, the layout and also the small details, therefore construction would be much easier to do.
The images used in the double-paged spread had to be photo-shopped as we wanted to create a warm style to our pictures, by changing things such as the contrast, brightness, colours and blurring, we were able to create pictures which would look good in the double-page spread.
This was put into InDesign as it was a lot easier to manage and we were able to place two pages together to create an actual double-page spread. The text was added which had been previously written up on Microsoft Word and also placed. Final elements such as the ratings were also put in to make sure every part of the double-page spread looked professional and inviting for the audience.

  1. As with the other edition of your magazine, this double page needs to be presented in a way that it can be read.
Again, detail about the proceses you both went through when planning and constructing your texts are needed
