Radio Advert; Planning, Construction & Final Product

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eAtZXcB7Zg - PLANNING FOR RADIO ADVERT.
Planning for the radio advert took several attempts at achieving a script which was suitable for our audience. A number of different styles were tried and we experimented by sometimes using two people in the advert. We looked at conversational tones and more persuasive tones and we finally came up with a script we liked.
Also the music in the background was very important and as we are able to play the piano, we decided to play the music ourselves. There are different types of styles of music we tried and we began to match the music with the script as well as we could for the construction.

Constructing the radio advert was a lot like the planning except the script had been decided. The voice-over was more clear and we did voice-over's each. We decided on choosing the final product from one of those.

On the Final Product, music was added and the script was tweaked slightly so the audience would be able to instantly realise what we are selling, therefore making it more effective.
These construction pictures shows the way in which we were able to put the voice over and background music together. Using the Software allowed us to cut out unessential parts of the script and allow the voice over to be louder than the music. This was definitely important as it meant that we were able to create a professional sounding radio advert.

Billboard; Planning, Construction & Finished Product.

These are our basic templates. We had a few ways of how we would like our billboard to look like. So we created these to see how it looked.
However, we thought of an amazing idea that will reflect the region our magazine is based! We decided to create a collage of images that represent Kensington & Chelsea and insert it in the name of our magazine. These are the steps we learnt and completed. It was difficult but the result was a relief! After finishing the collage you have to go to image layers and merge the layers together.
Once we created the font we then placed the image of our first edition of RKC on to the billboard as that's what we want our audience to see. We discovered a billboard by the Hilton within the region aswell which is great for us to advertise our magazine.
We then enlarged the text as we wanted it to fit the whole picture width wise. We also changed the colour as black seemed abit dull and by putting a maroon background highlights the collage. We also decided to use our FOOD edition of RKC.
The last touches were completing the text below for our audience to see. I think the billboard is an amzing way of advertising as its purpose is to reflect the region our magazine is for.

Food Edition; Double Paged Spread - Planning, Construction & Final Product

As mentioned previously, we wanted to ensure that our magazine editions could be differentiated between one another therefore we experimented with templates to help us achieve a new style for our double paged-spread. However we were careful to make sure that the double pages still had a few similarities so you could  instantly realise the two editions are by the same magazine company.
A template was chosen and the pictures and text had to be decided. We wrote the text in a separate Word document first to ensure that it made sense and there were no mistakes.
Finally the planning had been done on Microsoft Word, the pictures had been decided and so had the text, the layout and also the small details, therefore construction would be much easier to do.
The images used in the double-paged spread had to be photo-shopped as we wanted to create a warm style to our pictures, by changing things such as the contrast, brightness, colours and blurring, we were able to create pictures which would look good in the double-page spread.
This was put into InDesign as it was a lot easier to manage and we were able to place two pages together to create an actual double-page spread. The text was added which had been previously written up on Microsoft Word and also placed. Final elements such as the ratings were also put in to make sure every part of the double-page spread looked professional and inviting for the audience.

Food Edition; Contents - Planning, Construction & Final Product.

As we have already created a contents page, we knew we have to keep the same layout for our next edition. So the planning stages for our second edition was to change the content and editors letter which is what we done on Microsoft word.
Here, we completed our contents on photoshop. However as the screen shots show we completely changed the background. We thought it would be more exciting and interesting if we related the contents page to the theme of this edition which was 'FOOD and CHRISTMAS'. We even edited the font to be more creative. The Christmas light look received good feedback as people enjoyed the whole Christmas atmosphere.
These are a few screen shots showing where we got our font from and how we placed it into photoshop. We then have shown a few steps of us changing a picture to make it stand out against the red background.
These show what we have included in this issue and again us changing the contrast of a image.
This is how our product looks like, we are very pleased with how the effects of the font and background came out. Merry Christmas is written by us with the pencil tool on photoshop. We thought this is ideal as an Editors letter is a personal touch with the editor and the reader.
