Food Edition; Front Page - Planning, Construction & Finished Product.

We wanted to make sure our front cover for our second edition differed from the first, therefore we made sure to write up some templates to see what we could do.

On Microsoft Word we began to experiment with our main image. We decided on not having the restaurant but the food as the main image as this is what attracts the audience.

Details began to be added, such as the cover lines and where they would be placed. Also colours were very important and we wanted to start trying them out in the planning process as it helped us put together a colour scheme for the rest of the magazine.

There was much that had to be touched up upon in the main picture, such as blurring out the background. We wanted to make sure the audience's attention was attracted to the main image making them want to buy the magazine. Therefore much time was taken in making it perfect. The curves such as the red, blue and yellow were altered to create a professional look. 

Different fonts were used to create our cover lines as we wanted it to tie in with the main image, yet stand out.

Final touches were made such as the change in the promotion style, the bar code and placing of the cover lines.
